Gh4 (1 Viewer)

With the announcement of the Olympus 300mm f4 today, my next body will likely be an O-MD. Too bad Panasonic didn't jump on this sooner.

There already is a thread in the video section about this new camera. However, here is one person hoping that the AF improvements will find their way into a camera with less video emphasis soon. See: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/panasonic-gh4/panasonic-gh4A.HTM

Hi Niels

This is a link to an interesting image quality comparison of the GH4 to various cameras including the GH3 http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/panasonic-gh4/panasonic-gh4A.HTM#IQC

What I find interesting is the crop of the red and pink fabric swatches. The GH4 shows a lot of lost detail compared to all the other cameras and to the GH3. I think it's fair to say that if it can't handle fabric texture very well it may also have a problem handling feathers.

It looks like the default noise reduction is too strong in the GH4. I wonder what would have happened with development in a third party program. DPReview when they get around to it might have the answer.
