Fledged young (1 Viewer)

Cycling in Braunton yesterday I came across a newly fledged Collared Dove which must have been out of the nest that day. It couldn't fly and would still be reliant on it's parents vomit (or at least dove-milk!) for food, so regretfully I left it there. There were at least two Collared Doves calling from near by. No sign of it today.

I guess these daft birds must have started their breeding attempt during that cold spell in December.....

Anyone else got fledged birds out of the nest yet?

ps I know that Pigeons and Doves are renowned for breeding at almost any time of the year.
