Green energy providers (1 Viewer)

Does anyone have any experience or views on green energy providers in the UK?

I'm thinking of switching to a renewable energy provider - currently the RSPB branded Southern Electric service looks favourites.

As far as I can tell I'll either make a tiny saving or a tiny loss on it - but the environment, and the RSPB (via an automatic donation) should win.

Any thoughts?

I make a net saving - I lose on the electricity and gain on the gas through a combined provision from NPower. My electricity comes from the offshore windfarm I can see from my house.

Hi Jane,
I'm with NPower. Am I automatically using green power or do you have to phone up and opt in?

Chris

Thanks Tim and Jane. I've followed Jane into NPower Juice - looks like I'll save a few quid and register my 'vote' for renewables at the same time.

Out of all the green lifestyle steps a birder can take, this seems like one of the easiest, and definitely one of the cheapest.
