Swarovski CL-P 8x25 Bino lens covers? (1 Viewer)

Hi folks, I am new to birdforum and to birding in general. However, I recently purchased a pair of Swarovski CL 8x25 binoculars and I really am happy with them. However, I wish they came with lens covers. I've read on other discussions from back a few years ago on birdforum that people found lens covers on the internet which fit this model. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where I could track these down? Thanks!

Hi Jerry, I would first choose the ocular lenses especially if I'm walking through the woods. Also I understand the objective lenses housings have a slanted shape which makes it difficult to keep covers in place. Any suggestions for the oculars? Nice to meet you Jerry...Frank

Hi Frank,

Looking at the objective lenses from the front with my 8x25 CL-P fully opened I can see that there is a beveled edge on the objective tubes located at the outside 3 o'clock and 6 o'clock positions which I did not notice before. The remainder of the circumference of the tubes do not have this beveling. This could create a problem in finding objective covers that will fit if they were not deep enough. I measured it and it looks like they would have to be about 3/8th of an inch deep to fit tightly.
