Swarowski Service second to none (1 Viewer)

You honestly can't beat that Ted! :t:

You're right Chuck...Swarovski Optik has a superb business model for maintaining customer service longevity with Top quality products and a corporate commitment to the life of the product. The 6x30 porro was their first binocular produced (1939-52 yrs. before mine). Not sure when they went out of production, but they are still servicable today...Amazing!

I suspect that the only real difference between the 6x30 Habicht and the 8x30 Habicht is the eye piece. Everything else should be interchangeable. The 6x30s were first used in the war effort in 1939. It wasn't until 1948 and 1949 when Swarovski went public with the Habichts. See this brief history and overview:

Gijs van Ginkle, of the "House of Outdoor," who has many posts here on Bird Forum, has an excellent history of Swarovski from 1935 to 2011 which can be found in a 98 page PDF if you google: Swarovski 6x30 Habicht Binoculars, History of.

HiFolks,

I've got a 15 year old (approx.) Swarovski HABICHT AT 80 HD scope (from new) that needs a good MOT. Plus a 20-60x zoom Swarovski lens with a worn out rubber eyecup that I tend to fold down for use with specs. And I managed to lose the screw on plastic zoom lens protector (somewhere in remote Estonia).

It's still a great scope and I'd like to hang on to it. I live in Beverley, East Yorkshire, UK. I'd be really grateful if anyone could please advise me on how best to go about getting things sorted?

I note UK Agent is often referred to but I'm completely unsure who that might be.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone.

Regards

Frank
