Lens covers and rain guards for the CL-P? (1 Viewer)

I just received a CL-P 10x25 for Christmas. I'm really liking the performance of this unit. However, the one glaring issue is that they do not come with rain guards or lens covers. I was hoping to keep these in a jacket pocket. However, without protection, I am afraid that I will scratch the lenses.

Can anybody point me to where I could find something that would work?

There are generic ones out there. Amazon(dot)ca didn't seem to have them, but call around to your binocular stores. For the lenses, there is a rubber ring that fits over the barrel with a hinge then the cap. Rainguards may also be generic.
However, if I was gifted a pair like that, I would consult Swarovski supplier for covers that are more specific to your binocs.
Personally, I am not good about putting on caps, and keep binocs in a soft fabric bag. Means a little more lint cleaning, but no scratches.

I'm not sure there are Swarovski covers available. I've tried to search online but can't find anything. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I have to find generic ones. I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction in a PM?

I suspect you will have difficulty finding a rain guard that will comply with the fully folded shape of your pocket bins.
A practical solution might be to designate the pocket you intend to put them in as a binos-only pocket and never deviate from this.

The guys at Urban Nature Store can supply our objective lens covers and rainguards but they'd need to special order them for you so delivery might be a while:

As Lee says, I doubt the compact rainguard would stay in place with the CLs folded down.

For the Opticrons, I'm presuming that the XS size would be the closest fit? I used a caliber and measured the objective side to be 34.24mm and the ocular side to be 32.4mm

Hadn't realised the diameter was that small - even the XS may be too big.

If you're not in a big rush, I can check the fit when I'm back in the office next week and let you know.
