Hi all
Found these 2 in dune slacks at a coastal location in Druridge Bay in the North East and cannot find either in my books which may be a bit too broad and not specialised enough.
Can anyone help please?

1 Figwort Sawfly, Tenthredo scrophulariae
2 Field Grasshopper, Chorthippus brunneus

Thanks for your help - much appreciated.
I assume the G/hopper is in some sort of breeding condition hence the red colouration on the back of the head?

Grasshoppers, especially Field, can be extremely variable in colouration.
