PS Welcome to birdforum Jwgrant100, btw, we are not generally into killing and eating birds on here, but in Namibia it is cheaper and easier to eat meat than veg, thats where I ate Helmeted Guineafowl.

Where did you see these birds?

I'm surprised that given they are so popular in captivity now in Europe that they aren't more widely eaten?

You can get it in a lot of supermarkets & farm shops in Britain; almost always free range - unlike chickens, they don't take to battery farming (not that chickens do either, but they survive in it). Similar price to better quality free range chicken. As Sangahyando sez, good flavour.
