possible spread of house crows??? (1 Viewer)

ive heard they like to hitchhike on ships and that they can easily estabilish colonies in ports (muscat, mombasa, ect ect) and they are very adaptable. anyone think they could colonize the US? and if so, would the turn out to be pests?

Don't hold your breath, maersk; we're still waiting for them to reach Britain. I believe they are regarded as undesirable, though.

Certainly undesirable: when I grow up in Kenya, I saw them spread along the Coast, which is not good news for the local birds. As they are pretty smart, control programs have had only limited success (OK, I admit it: my brother and I used to shoot them and feed them to the Crocs kept at the hotel).
