ED82 filter size? (1 Viewer)

Does anyone know if there is a standard photographic filter size I can use to protect the big beautiful front element on my ED82? I know it's larger than 82mm, because a standard 82mm filter will drop right in and out.

My apologies if this had been answered before; I wasn't able to find it with a thread search. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Hello
for my Nikon Filedscope ED82A I have recently bought a second-hand B+W MRC protection filter clear (86mm) just to prevent the bad effects of marine aerosol when seawatching.

Its quality is top-notch

Regards

Luca
