Thanks, that was interesting to read. A 35 year old oystercatcher! A lot of the other news is disturbing though....the earth's ecosystem is in real trouble, isn't it?

Yes Dianne it sure is, and nothing it seems can escape it. The site is worth bookmarking, it is updated daily and although you can follow the links if you want to, even if you don't, you still have a reasonable snapshot of what's happening in our world. I have it as my homepage that way I automatically look at it everyday without having to remember to go and check it out!!

Hi El Annie,

Here are a couple of other sites of interest. Both are more worldwide, and give a good overall picture of what's going on. The National Geographic one seems to be a little more bird interested. I like your idea of making it a home page. I might do that. Thanks....
