tourists, the normal type, furthermore, are there enough birding
sites for 6 days?

Certainly enough sites for 6 days. Somewhere in the north east probably your best bet, there are quieter resorts not far from Albufera.

Hi Waine, yes I agree, the North East would be best. There are more tourists now and there will be even more in May but it is easy to get away from the busy bits. Albufera, Albufereta and the Boquer valley will all be superb at this time of the year. Albucutx tower, Casses Vellas and Formentor are all first class in May. If you have a car you can also go to Cuber reservoir and Salobrar de Campos which are also great. Otherwise the first sites are all accessable by public transport. There is a long list of birds to see but Eleanoras falcons are around in May as are Golden orioles, Woodchat shrikes, Purple herons, all the egrets, Night herons, Squacco herons, Little bittern...the list goes on. Raptors include Black and Griffon vultures, Booted eagle, Red and Black kites, Thekla and Short-toed larks, Bee-eaters, Scops owls and Wrynecks. And more...good birding!

I fly out on 6th May for a week, staying at the Gardens Hotel in Alcudia/Playa de Muro, handy for the Albufera, & a quick bus ride up the coast to Puerto Pollenca & the Boquer Valley.
