My copy of the wildfowl guide arrived from NHBS a few days ago. An impressive tour de force with particularly good coverage of hybrids. My only (small) caveat being that, like virtually every other book on the topic, commonly encountered domestic forms (or birds showing characteristics thereof) of Mallard etc have not been illustrated.

Hi John. You probably noticed that the Flight Identification of Raptors of Europe, Asia and North America is also on offer. I'm seriously tempted and Fathers Day is just around the corner:t:

I did indeed, Rich, but that was one book that couldn't wait and i got asap. Mind you the wildfowl book cost me £40 more than it should have done since on ordering it I discovered that the robins & chats book was also discounted so that somehow slipped into the basket too. No room on the bookshelves for either, though!
