Iceland - jokulsarlon (1 Viewer)

Need your help on this bird. It was sighted on a small glacier on the laggon at Jokulsarlon, East Iceland, recently. The head pattern, wing bars and neck pattern have me scratching my head. My first thought was a snow bunting but I could do with some help. I estimate that it is around chaffinch/wheatear size. Sorry for the poor images, it was very distant.

Thanks in advance
