Looks more like a Stonechat to me.

Me too, for that is what it is ;)

Hotspur, don't be thrown by the pale super; this is shown by 1st-winter Stonechats, and on this bird is certainly not strong enough for a Whinchat. Note also the lack of other facial marking (e.g. black eye-stripe & white mousc), the back colouration and the short primary-projection of a short-distance migrant.
