Parrot Crossbills in Scotland (1 Viewer)

Has there been any reports of Parrot Crossbills this summer in Scotland?

Planning a trip up there in a few weeks and wondered if it was a possibility.

I've seen some birds in upper Deeside with young earlier this year that looked like Parrot to me. Nothing backed up with a recording tho!. All Crossbills are schedule 1 species so one has to be cautious about discussing sites...

'Griffin' (Lindsay Cargill) is the man who knows about these things.

Thanks Andrew and Phil - point taken about being a schedule 1 bird. I was just interested to know about their progress this year. Lindsay's blog is useful too. Cheers, Dave
