Opticron have dropped the HDF 40809 ep? (1 Viewer)

That's a good question. I have the 40809 that I use on with my Pentax, I think it's pretty good, better than than the 40810 imo. I reckon there will also be a replacement for the 40810 before long. And, also the replacement lens is cheaper than old one. Is it made in Japan?
 
What is the difference between the 40809 and 40831? In what ways is the new one better?
Did anyone find some info on this over the years? :)
I am also wondering about the differences, considering they have the same focal length.
