Hi All,
There were reports of a Hudsonian Godwit at the Massepequa Park (in Nassau County on Long Island), so our group yesterday headed in that direction. It's very rare for here. AND we SAW it!!!! What a definitely cool looking bird. It was a lifer for all of us.

Other lifers for me that day: American Widgeon, Northern Pintail and Blackpoll Warbler.

Other birds seen: Gadwal, Kingfisher, Solitary Sandpiper, Greater Yellowlegs, Red Bellied WP, Flicker, Catbird, Field Sparrow, White Throated Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Bluebirds, Eastern Phobee, Dark Eyed Junco, Tufted Titmouse, BC Chickadee, Merlin (chasing a flicker), Osprey, Robins, American Crows, Starlings, Canada Geese, Mallards.

Good day..even in the rain!
