We saw a group of 9 birds together with Great-tailed Grackles in Isla Blanca Park, South Padre Island, TX. Are they blackbirds, Rusty or Brewer's?

Female Brewer's Blackbirds usually have black eyes, while female Rusty Blackbirds have pale eyes, like the ones in the picture.

I think these are Grackles - the bill is much too large for a Blackbird. I would say Great-tailed Grackle.

Agree with Andrew. they're grackles in some sort of transitional plumage.
