Hi everybody, we will birding northern Peru in the next august 2011, but i'm not sure i can bird Peru alone......

Do you know some magic place outside the classical (marcopomacochas, pomacochas, Callao for pelagic...) i can't miss??

And last but not least, i don't have lot of USD for a birding trip, but i would like to have a local indipendent guide, do you know someone??

Thanks in advance B :)

this book is out of print but if you can find it it will help you plan a trip.

but the sites you mention are really in central peru rather than in northern peru.

some other well known sites in central peru include

lomas de lachay
wetlands near Lima (i can't remember the name sorry!)
santa eulalia valley
lago junin
satipo road
bosque unchog
carpish tunnel

this website shows some of the main sites in the area
