Hello!

Could you help me identify these birds from Tangkoko Batuangus National Reserve of Sulawesi. Photographed on a mangrove river in June

Are these juvenile Short-tailed Starlings?

Juvenile short-tailed if that's what's there, no Asian Glossy there?

Asian Glossy is certainly there but I don't think Short-tailed normally is, so I would go for the former.

Indeed - I checked the field guide - Short-tailed starlings shouldn't be there.
