White dove = rock dove or ring-necked? (1 Viewer)

I always thought doves and pigeons are different species, and recently read that "the standard white dove is an albino form of the common domestic ringneck dove". Is that what this one is? I saw this in Bordeaux, France.

In general large short tailed Columbids are labeled pigeons and smaller longer tailed Columbids are labeled doves. Your image is of a feral pigeon, which come in a bewildering mix of body colors including all white.
