Mixed brood? - London UK (1 Viewer)

ChrisKten

It's true, I quite like Pigeons
The Canada and Greylag Geese hybridise sometimes at my local reservoirs, and I know that Goslings get adopted and/or mixed in with other broods. I noticed these at the reservoirs last week; although there's just the one parent, two Goslings look like Greylags and one looks like a Canada. They could all be hybrids, but I thought I'd see if others had opinions on them.

The front Gosling looks a bit of a brute too, but I suppose still Greylag.

Heavy crops, especially the Goslings; what do you think?

Thanks

Bumping this once before it scrolls off of the page (I'm aware that most haven't a clue about Geese... most, but not all ;) )

That lead gosling looks like it could grow up into a Canada × farmyard Greylag cross.

Thanks for replying.

I might find it again next time I go, assuming it survives; of the three, it does look most like it could be a hybrid. Probably be easier to tell in a few weeks
