One duck and one gull, with multiple pictures for the gull. My guess is some weird domestic mallard and a laughing gull, but I'm particularly bad at ID'ing gulls. Any gull is a rarity in Hawaii, so I want to get the ID right.

I´d suspect the duck is a mallard x koloa (hawaiian duck) mix. when was this photographed? just recently?

That's right--the post was made the day the picture was taken. Looking at some of the google image searches for those hybrids, I'd say you might be onto something...
 
I thought it looked rather similar to Mallard x Mexican/Mottled Duck hybrids, so Mallard x Hawaiian Duck makes sense. Possibly hard to disambiguate from "regular" Mallard coming out of eclipse though...
