Moth id (Cumbria UK) (1 Viewer)

Hello

I found this moth perched on a fencepost in woodland near Carlisle earlier today.

I thought it was going to be a doddle to id, but having worked my way through both my micro and macro field guides, I'm still stumped. My best guess is that it's a tortrix of some sort, but I'm not even sure about that.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

Paul

Many thanks for that, Rose!

It doesn't look much like the Oak Nycteoline shown in my field guide, but I'll take your word for it!
