can anyone identify this woodpecker? (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,
I wonder if anyone can help me identify what i think is a woodpecker. I took several photos of it when it appeared in our back garden on the island of Mallorca. Unfortunately I cannot upload the photos due to there size. The bird has a fawn upper body with a tuft on its head which extends out the back and is brown/ginger with black stripes. Its feathers are black and white horizontol stripes. It also has a long beak much longer then say a great spotted woodpecker. Hopefully this info can provide some clues!!
Many thanks
Michelle
