Anyone used one of these (1 Viewer)

Hi all, I have just bought a secondhand Sigma XQ 500mm f/8 mirror lens. Does anyone on here have any experience with this lens, good and bad points with/about it. I will trying it out on my 40D. Thanks. Neil.

Doesnt it have a T2 mount ? Hope you have an adaptor !!!

Everything to fit to a canon EOS was included in the sale. Thanks anyway.
Now has anyone had any experience of using this lens please.

I had one many years ago and used it on tracks days (motorcycle racing) it was very good too! when i started taking shots of birds etc i didn't like the effect on water shots (the little rings) but it was fine in the garden etc and loved the lightweight and the fact it was easy to stash on my bike.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you get used to it!
