Bat, Etosha, Namibia, (1 Viewer)

Hi there,

This bat was hanging under the thatched roof of one of the rooms at Okaukuejo lodge in Etosha near the waterhole.

Any ideas of the species?

Thanks,

It certainly belongs to the Vespertillionidae, so getting a species list from Etosha NP, would enable you to narrow the choice down already. To me it looks a lot like a Myotis spec. but that is purely based on European bats and I have no experience with Southern African ones....
