My hunt for long eye relief continues! Came a cross a comment about this scope with 30 mm eye relief. Does anybody have any experience with this scope? How does it hold up optically?

I too am curious about this scope?

I too am curious about this scope.
It is being offered as a kit with tripod, cover, window mount and photo adapter. Leupold is advertising this as their top birding scope.
Anyone using this scope?

I have an older 20x50 gold ring spotting scope and its has excellent resolution (standardized for magnification it equals my Swarovski). It also has very long eye relief. However, you want as little eye relief as you can get away with since the longer it is the smaller the field of view will be. I much prefer 15-18mm of eye relief. By the way, my Optolyth 25x70 has great eye relief and a hugh field of view. Still the best small scope I have ever seen, although you would not want to stick it underwater as you could with the Leupold.

Just ordering the new HD version. I have the old one and whilst I can see the head of a roedeer at 900 meter pretty well it is beaten both by the big Leica and even more by the big Swarovski but then a Swarovski would cost you £ 850 whilst you can get a Leupold for less than $ 850. It all depends how desperate you are for perfection.
