Hi, is there anybody who has tested the new zeiss sf 10x42t*? What is the difference with the old zeiss 10x42sf and swarovski 10x42 field pro? Is the new zeiss sf 10x42t* with better resolution and contrast? Thanks!

The Zeiss SF MKii have black rubber armor and the focus mechanism is updated. (It runs smoother). It's probably an incremental update so later grey samples might have the same adjusted focuser. Optically there is no difference officially. T* have been the name/trademark of Zeiss lens multi coatings since ages back.

The T* coating (which was an improved T coating and transmitted 90% of the light passing through it) appeared in the 1970's as a trademark.

The latest Swaro FieldPro also have an updated focuser.
The Swaro might have a slightly more contrast but SF:s big FOV and superb ergonomics is nice. Go with the one that feels best. Optically both are great.
