Save the Egyptian Vulture in Greece
Am I right in these two ?
With these spring birds in various moults I am not too sure,
1. I think is, A clanga
2. A pomarina
Can I rule out A nipalensis on pic 2 ?

Thanks
ColD

i think it is really hard to rule out a pomarina - pic 1. pic is not conclusive enough, that slight pale line along the midwing is possible in pomarina. 2nd looks good for LSE on structure - what a shaggy thing though!

Thanks Lou. They were in minutes of each other so will go on your expertise and say 2 pomarina's. Second bird was circling all the way, whereas the first bird was mostly travelling in a straight line, I wonder what difficulties that sort of moulting makes to migratory birds. That one would have come over from Libya perhaps so a lot of sea to cross.
Thanks
ColD
