I moved to Norfolk 3 years ago from London. I love the huge variety of birds I see on a daily basis here. One of the hoped for but not really expected things that has happened is tawny owls breeding in my garden both this year and last.
Last year barn owls were all over the place. Not so many this year.
We had a greater spotted woodpecker nesting quite close to the house in a dying cherry tree. Unfortunately the hole was facing away from the house so I couldn't use my kitchen as a hide. I didn't want to disturb the chicks so I don't know how many there were.
I'm very glad to have found this site and look forward to visiting often. :hi:
