Birdwarching Spain: Top wildlife and bird watching
A very productive morning seeing birds and orchid in one of our wildlife tours around Costa Blanca, Alicante province in Spain.

List of orchids:

Sombree-bee orchid (Ophrys fusca)
Woodcock orchid (Ophrys scolopax)
Ophrys dianica. Endemic of the region
Mirror orchid (Ophrys speculum)
Giant orchid (Barlia robertiana)
Ophrys castroviejoi (O.speculum x O.scolopax)
Ophrys pielteri (O.tenthredinifera x O. scolopax)

Another cracking orchid-Bivona’s Orchis

Last Sunday we had an excellent day out looking for butterflies and orchids in the region of Valencia. This is considered a botanical hotspot for the diversity of plants. Following I am coping a list of the orchids seen:

Bivona’s Orchid – Orchis x bivonae.
Woodcock orchid – Ophrys scolopax
Sombre-bee orchid – Ophrys fusca
Dense-flowered orchid – Neotinea maculata
Pink butterfly orchid – Anacamptis papilonacea
Naked man orchid – Orchis italica
Conical orchid – Neotinea conica
Narrow-leaved Helleborine – Cephalanthera longifolia
Man orchid – Aceras anthropophorum
Mirror orchid – Ophrys speculum
Champagne orchid – Orchis champagneuxii
Early puple orchid – Androrchis olbiensis
