Challenging your enthusiasm (1 Viewer)

After yesterday's great day out, I decided to head to Loch Ardinning and surrounding areas in hope of seeing the Great Grey Shrike that's been reported on Dumbrock Muir all January, and also hopefully to see some Black Grouse and divers at the loch.

Unfortunately, it was one of those days when the most exciting bird seen were a couple of Goosanders, a Grey Heron and a Cormorant sitting in the tree which from a distance I thought might have been an owl or something - no such luck, once I looked through the binoculars all was revealed.

It's days like this that challenge your enthusiasm - it was nice enough being out, but I seemed to spend more time dodging dogs that anything.

Here's to the next great day out!
