Well I suppose everyone has to have a bogey bird and dotterel is mine!
Up at 4am this morning, had a report last evening from devon birder who is holidaying up here to say dotterel in a field nearby. No sign when I got there so thought I would try at first light this morning. No luck though. That's life ( and birding) I suppose! Never mind heard corncrake just down the road.
