Just seen advertised in one of todays Sunday papers the following.

Sunagor 18-100x30 zoom binoculars, 'perfect for bird watching'. :eek!:

It doesn't bear thinking about what sort of views one might get with a 30mm objective lense at 18x, let alone 100x. The hand shake probably wont be a problem as it's likely to be too dark to see anything anyway.

The sad thing is, some poor sod is probably going to buy them. Mind you, there's £80 off down to £159. They're probably a limited edition and you probably get a certificate of authenticity to confirm this. I bet they've only got a limited number aswell and its first come, first served.

Now where did i put that number. ;)
 
Even worse, someone on here might actually be given a pair of these things for Christmas!

Imagine trying to looked delighted when Aunty Betty tells you she was going to get you a pair of Nikon Sporter 8x36 from Warehouse Express, but she decided that these Sunagors are bound to be better..!
