Mail merge & address book (1 Viewer)

Help!
All I want to do is print off labels with addresses from the Address book!
When I use the mail merge option on Microsoft Word I am offered a choice of data files - I eventually find the address book and it is 'gobledygook'
Have done it in the past - but having sooo much trouble now.
 
Which version of Word are you using and where is the address book from, Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail or ANOther?
 
Thankyou Mono for your reply - I was so desperate I retyped the address book into Office Outlook - took a little while and then did a manual mail merge - successfully! Has only taken half a day!!
