Hi
Can anybody put a name to this moth? It was caught in Leigh, Greater Manchester last night. It looks like a pyralid to me, but I can't get it to species.

Thanks

Colin

I think it's the tort Exapate congelatella

David

Thanks! That would explain why I couldn't find it in my pyralid book!

According to my database I've trapped two before in my back garden in Merseyside, so I should have recognised it. NBN doesn't show any dots for Greater Manchester, so I guess its one for the county recorder.
