Seawatching action today at Cley included Bonxies, Arctic Skua, Little Gulls, scoter flocks, waders etc. Also plenty of displaced Kittiwakes and Gannets heading NW - back towards Flamborough - but limited visibility and the albatross evaded detection (only JMcC and me actually looking though...)

Early morning from Cley produced more Gannets, but it turned out that Albert went north instead of south :-(
Still, two Red-throated Divers, 3 Eiders, 250 Common Scoters, Manx Shearwater, Kittiwakes, Med & Little Gulls, Whimbrel etc were interesting, plus a strong southerly movement of Swifts.

Would like to add my thanks for your ongoing efforts as I also check in regularly especially before choosing my next visit around the county. Although currently spoiled with my latest inland dunlin adding to my grey plover at Marlingford full report at

Today's highlight was obviously the adult summer Long-billed Dowitcher, which was on the Serpentine and Arnolds Marsh most of the day, before visiting North Scrape and flying around over Daukes Hide this evening. A second-summer Caspian Gull and 20 Yellow-l Gulls were amongst 350 lwhg roosting on Simmond's Scrape tonight. Other Cley sightings today included Bittern, three limosa Black-t Godwits (including an unringed juvenile), Med Gulls, Common Sandpiper, Snipe & Ruffs etc.
The 3 Otters were in the main cut yesterday, before one was found dead at the Beach Road sluice in the evening, presumably having been hit by a car.
