Walked along river at St Clement today. No sign of any Avocets. V. quiet, just a few greenshank, a snipe and little egrets. 10 house martins reported on another thread at Par sands, St Austell? A bit early and in that many numbers? Anyone else seen any this week?

At last, a few more migrants. Had 6 Sand Marts at Copperhouse this PM. It seems the report of WB Diver yesterday was rubbish. Someone said they saw it in Carnsew Pooll!! How did it get in there, WALK?!! Still a few GN Divers in there and Hayle Harbour. Lesser Whitethroat and Spotted Sand still showing.

Well done Tav, some nice birds there. Saw my first Swallows at Saltram yesterday, no flycatchers yet though.
Must try and get across to Rame head myself sometime.

RBA Pager reports that 3 Glossy Ibises flew SW over Saltings Reach, Hayle at 4.10pm today. I will be down in West Cornwall for a few days next week so let's hope they land somewhere and stay around for a while. Roger
