Sparrowhawk (1 Viewer)

Standing out in the garden today watching the birds and a sparrowhawk swooped across above my head and dived into the bush just below the bird feeders, didn't catch anything. Then came round again and landed in next doors garden. I managed to get a couple of bad photos of its head as it was behind fencing and trellis, so couldn't manage anything better. Gave me a bit of a shock though, and a bit of excitment! :)

Hi Jacqui

They're great birds, aren't they. It's wonderful to see them in action.

Always fascinating to see them in the garden, but as you say, not so good for the other visitors. But that's nature!
