Hi everybody,

I am just joined the forum, I am a young moroccan student, I started birding while starting bird ringing as part of my master project about 3 years ago.

Welcome! I'm looking forward to some pictures from your area... What's a bird-ringer? I'm new to birding and that's a term with which I'm not familiar...

Hi gckinglet72 and everyone,

A bird ringer (or bander in North America) is a persone who interested in ringing (banding) birds by posing a small metal ring in his tarsus and he do some biometrics and he release the birds after that. Bird ringing has played an important role in gathering scientific information about bird ecology and most important about the amazing phenomene of migration.
About the pictures from my area, I will post some soon.
