I spotted this fellow on the wall of a garden in Cottesloe, a coastal suburb of Perth in Australia, but can't be sure of what it is. The most obvious thought is that it is one of the smaller corvines. Perhaps my field guide (Slater) isn't good enough but none of the illustrations match this bird. The distinctions for me are the curved bill and the brownish head. Can anyone suggest what it could be? It would be nice to resolve this mystery! Perhaps it's a juvenile of one of the Australian corvines?
Many thanks
