It's funny that the title says "Black-legged Kittiwake populations have declined by 40% since the 1970s." B The mistake should be obvious even for a non-birder :eat:

The actual news story has a Kittiwake with black legs visible.

(this also made me think that Kittiwake and Common Gull are a weird ID pair in that there are no *obvious* features to distinguish them, as adults, if legs and wingtips are not visible, yet somehow they are still very obviously different... an illustration of the indefinability of "jizz"?)
