I came across this little chap this afternoon sitting all on his own on the sea wall defences. He was having a wash and brush up and a short rest.managed to take a couple of decent pics. His legs appear to be black, which could make him an Artic as opposed to little tern who have red legs. But if he is a juvenile ,then it could be tricky.
All our nesting/breeding terns left weeks ago,so I wonder where he came from or is on his way to?.
Thankyou,Christine.I will put a couple of pics on from different angles. One to show his face, and one which shows his wing plumage.
