My 7D Mkii will not auto power off after the 2 minute (or what ever value I set) interval.
I have tried upgrading firmware and going back to factory settings but it does not fix the problem, I have changed lens and extender too but to no avail.
Everything is else working OK only problem is that battery only gives half a day shooting even when switching it off occasionally - so need to keep spares ready.

Any ideas?

Thanks

No real idea, but have you tried disabling the GPS? With the GPS fully "Off" I'd expect you to get a longer period from your battery.
Yes have disabled GPS and now only have display setting on top panel and not on LCD, lots of resets got that to switch off, now at least I'm getting a full day.
