Darien, Panama (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Has anyone here been to the Darien National Park in southern Panama? I am trying to organise a trip without the use of Organised Tour operators. From what I can gather, the area is only accessible by light aircraft from Panama City. Are there alternative ways of getting into the area?

The Darien is not an easy place to get too or an easy place to navigate when you do get there. I highly recommend that you reconsider going with a guide or an organized tour of some kind, at least for your first trip there, because you will want to return if you have a good first experience.
