Make time for birds when clocks change, urges RSPB....... (1 Viewer)

El Annie

Phew..............
As the clocks go back this weekend, the RSPB is urging more people to take time to help the birds around them. Around 24 million people already feed the birds in their garden at least once a week during the winter. The RSPB is calling for more people to join in. The RSPB’s Time for Birds weekend, (25 -28 October), coincides with the end of British Summer Time and the onset of winter. Everyone has an extra hour, which they usually spend in bed! This year the RSPB is asking people to use that hour to help their local birds get through the cold winter months ahead.

Well said !

My local reserve cleaned out their feeding Winter feeding station and were due to start feeding this weekend. I'd have been there first thing if it wasn't for being at work ( and the rain ) ;)
