Dowitchers? (1 Viewer)

Certainly dowitchers; I wouldn't like to commit myself to which on these views, but in coastal habitat, Short-billed is more likely than Long-billed (which prefers fresh water). I'm assuming it is coastal from the Skimmers behind.

And the ruddyness of the foreground bird's upper breast and its irregular streakiness would suggest Short-billed. Shortbills arrive earlier than Longbills in So. California, too, if that helps.
