Yellow-legged Gull with Mystery Ring ?? (1 Viewer)

I'm struggling to find a ringing group or ringer for this bird !!

Image taken on the 19.10.15 at Matosinhos Beach, Portugal ..

The top of the ring has worn due to the leg rubbibg on it which would suggest that its been on the bird for quite sometime, so it could also be that the ring has faded and lost its original colour yet i've been through all the colour and 3 numeric combinations and got nowhere ...
Submitted it to BTO and its still a mystery !!

Any help on this bird please

Regards

Michael

No metal ring I notice. Could be illegal, could be a very old bird. I can't comment on species as low experience but if it was me I'd be submitting it via the Euring form linked to the BTO reporting page, with the species blank or 'unknown LWHGull' to hedge my bets, attach or e-mail the photo separately, leave it to EURING to work it out but hmm yeah if no metal ring it's a tough one.

Could be one bird ringed at Berlenga island (just off Peniche Portugal) from mid 90´s. They ringed a lot of YLG that time. I can try to find out and report here soon I have some information.

Cheers,
